‘Emulsify’ is the 3rd single from Saige’s upcoming debut EP ‘Sparks’ in March 2023. It’s a delicate love song; one which melds Saige’s Alt-pop sensibilities with Dreampop elements to envelope the listener in dreamy sonance. Written by Saige, the track is filled with textural layering and delicate vocals, juxtaposed by a lo-fi beat and shimmering choral guitars. The song was inspired by Bruno Major’s ‘ Nothing‘ and Taylor Swift’s ‘ Lover‘. Produced by top Irish producer Chris Bubenzer (Diffusion Lab). Live elements recorded by Alex Borwick and Gary Ó’ Nualláin in Grouse Lodge Studios, supported by the Irish Arts Council.”I think Emulsify is the only non-sad love song I’ve written, and ironically it’s my favourite. I moved in with the right person, and being with them just made me feel so content, calm and at ease. I wrote the song about the magic in those intimate day-to-day moments living together, just enjoying being in their company.”
2022 hit new highs for Saige – Her EP titular track ‘Sparks’ gained her Select Irish Artist of the Month (#10 in the Irish breakers chart) and was voted Artist of the Year 2022 on The Last Mixed Tape. With a hotly-anticipated EP release and a headline show upcoming, 2023 will be the year of Saige.
