With wild destination dining more popular than ever, foodie fans are in for a real treat this July as The Wicklow Escape launches its latest culinary adventure in its secluded location at Donard, Co. Wicklow.
Combining exclusive fine dining with outdoor adventure, the hotly anticipated Woodfired Dining at the Fiery sees Chef Nico Reynolds create a bespoke menu featuring delicious recipes that have been created using a number of locally sourced ingredients, including Ridgeway Wagyu, a premium Irish beef from a local Wicklow farmland.
Chef Nico Reynolds brings with him a wealth of culinary experience and passion for fine foods. Guests will be treated to a welcome cocktail on arrival and a three-course culinary masterpiece menu, all while enjoying the background ambience created by an evening DJ set on the terrace underneath the Pavilion.
Nico honed his skills on the Dublin streetfood scene with his pop-up restaurant Lil Portie, as well as being responsible for putting Caribbean food with Irish and Latin influence on the foodie map. Nico, a Dublin native, developed a passion for Caribbean cooking and soul food while learning from his Grandmother. He brought this knowledge to Latin America, where he successfully ran a catering company and a small restaurant in Buenos Aires for 6 years. A regular guest on Irish TV cooking segments, such as RTE’s “Today show” and Virgin Media’s “Ireland AM.” His latest TV series, “Grill Seeker,” can be found on the RTE Player.
The Woodfired Weekend package also includes an optional overnight or two-night stay at The Wicklow Escape’s stunning Garden rooms as well as access to the Woodfired Hot Tub plus breakfast the following morning.
