An Evening With Lisa Hannigan & Friends

Following her sold out collaboration with the Irish Arts Center in New York earlier this year, Lisa Hannigan is bringing this very special production home with a date at Vicar Street on November 25th.

This fully seated performance will feature a reimagining of Lisa’s music and will be her first major headline show since the release of Live in Dublin in 2019. Tickets go on sale Friday, September 6th. Full tour details below.

For her residency at the Irish Arts Centre, New York earlier this year, Lisa surrounded herself with a veritable dream team of musicians including Theodora Byrne (vocals), Yuki Numata Resnick (violin) and Clarice Jensen (cello), Karen Cowley (Krea) (vocals), and Jane Patterson (vocals).

Lisa had had a wonderful experience working with Theodora Byrne Ensemble lockdown project on Theo’s vocal arrangement of Lisa’s “We the Drowned’ which set off the whole idea of arranging some of Lisa’s songs in such a different way.

Lisa had met Yuki Numata Resnick through Aaron Dessner who produced At Swimand knew of Clarice Jensen through People festival, and had previously enjoyed collaborating with Karen Cowley (Krea) and Jane Patterson on Irish shows together.

Together in New York they had a one day immersive rehearsal to create a whole new show with four performances in total, each very different in their set list. “The show grew in character, content and confidence every night,” says Lisa, “like an immersive life rehearsal with an intimate audience of friends. The power of time and space to create was evident and felt by everyone performing and experiencing these songs in such a beautiful empathetic setting. I am delighted to be bringing this show back home to to recreate some of the magic that we did in New York.”

Tickets For Lisa Hannigan Live at Vicar Street are €40 and go on sale on Friday 6th September at 10am through www.ticketmaster.ie. Support will be by Dani Larkin each night.
