ALT-SOUL ARTIST NIYL RELEASES LATEST SINGLE THE FIRE AND THE FUEL

Irish alt-soul artist NIYL is back with his next single ‘The Fire and the Fuel,  the 3rd track from his upcoming album Parish Is Burning (scheduled for release in 2025).

Blending lush electronic soundscapes with powerful, soaring vocals, The Fire And The Fuel continues the album’s overall narrative, following  NIYL as he reflects on growing up in rural Ireland. The track deals with betrayal and the confusion and isolation that one can feel when in love. It regards love as an addiction, the thing that keeps us warm but can also burn us.

An homage to influences including London Grammar and Sam Smith, NIYL’s powerhouse vocals soar as a bed of electronic sounds carry the emotionally fuelled lyrics to the ear in a track that moves with the wildness of the Atlantic ocean. NIYL is quickly establishing his sound for this musical world, a space where soul, electronic and cinematic influences blend into one another .

The track was produced by Chris Bubenzar (Diffusion Lab) in Playground HQ.

NIYL says: “I think this track really set the foundation for the album in terms of sound and story. I had written the track nearly 5 years ago at this point and the second I got into the studio Chris and I knew instinctively where to bring it to – we finished the track in a day.

The Fire and the Fuel, like the rest of the tracks are cathartic for me and taking inspiration from the West of Ireland

The track will be available on all streaming platforms from October 25th.

NIYL’s debut album ‘Parish is Burning’, is set for release in 2025. The first two tracks of the album, Not in Your Life and Won’t Let My Lover Down are available to listen to on all streaming platforms now.
