m Following a triumphant debut last year, the one-day festival In The Meadows returns on Saturday, June 07th, 2025 bringing a full day of music across three stages.
Held in the stunning grounds of the Irish Museum of Modern Art in Dublin’s city centre, In The Meadows brings an unmissable experience back to Kilmainham. Curated by the teams behind All Together Now and Forbidden Fruit, this event is built for dedicated music fans.
Headlining and curating this year’s festival is none other than the iconic Iggy Pop for his first show back in Dublin in 17 years.
Hailed as the godfather of punk, from his trailblazing days with The Stooges in the late ’60s to his electrifying solo career, Iggy has inspired generations and set the stage for punk and grunge alike. Widely acknowledged as one of the most dynamic stage performers of all time, Iggy Pop has built a legendary career filled with both critical acclaim and fanatic cult success.
Many say you should put seeing Iggy rock out on one’s “must-see” list – his fans of all generations are the first to testify to that.
Joining Iggy Pop is a lineup of exceptional artists, spanning diverse genres and talents. Among the first announced are:
Dublin band THE SCRATCH blends heavy metal, Irish folk, stadium rock, and post-punk into a unique and genre-defying sound. The band quickly captured local attention by starting with acoustic guitars and a wooden box. Known for their constant evolution and lighthearted approach, The Scratch has built a devoted fan base across Ireland, the UK, Europe, and North America with their high-energy live shows.
Dublin-based GILLA BAND defy categorisation, fusing noise-rock guitars, techno-inspired drums, and intense, wailing vocals to create a sound that’s both chaotic and captivating. Frontman Dara Kiely’s surreal, witty lyrics channel rock’s raw, self-destructive energy, cementing the band as a cornerstone of Ireland’s alternative scene. Known for electrifying, apocalyptic live shows, Gilla Band signed with Rough Trade in 2015, debuting with Holding Hands With Jamie. After a celebrated comeback with The Talkies, they’re back with Most Normal, featuring singles like “Eight Fivers” that have already topped The Guardian‘s charts.
Dublin’s SPRINTS are rapidly rising with their Top 20 debut album, Letter To Self, and major support slots for IDLES and Pixies. Their powerful performances at Glastonbury and All Together Now have cemented their reputation for raw, resilient songwriting that tackles personal trauma. Praised by NME, DIY, and Pitchfork, Letter To Self has made SPRINTS a standout in modern rock. As they introduce new material and Feast, the band’s relentless momentum shows no sign of slowing.
London-based WARMDUSCHER are a defiantly unconventional fixture in the UK’s underground scene, blending post-punk grit with dark, off-kilter humour that’s all their own. Born out of London’s DIY spaces, they’ve built a reputation for chaotic, unpredictable live shows and a sound that defies genre. With a devoted cult following, Warmduscher continues to push boundaries. Check out their single, ‘Fashion Week’, from their upcoming album, set for release on 15 November 2024.
Brighton duo LAMBRINI GIRLS – Phoebe Lunny (vocals/guitar) and Lilly Macieira (bass) – announce their debut album Who Let The Dogs Out, dropping January 10, 2025, via City Slang, with lead single “Big D*** Energy” (censored spelling). Produced by Daniel Fox (Gilla Band) and mixed by Seth Manchester (Mdou Moctar, Battles), the album captures today’s chaos with sharp humour and explosive energy.
Polish band TRUPA TRUPA blends post-punk, psychedelia, and art-rock to create dark, immersive soundscapes that explore themes of memory and existential unrest. Known for their intense live shows and haunting lyrics, Trupa Trupa continues to push boundaries in experimental rock.
In The Meadows isn’t just another festival – it’s a one-day dive into music culture, set on the scenic grounds of IMMA. Join us on June 7th, 2025, for standout performances, raw energy, and a community vibe crafted for true music fans. This is live music at its best, right in the heart of Dublin.
