Add a personalised touch to your gifting this Christmas with our Cookie in a Jar Mixture. It’s the perfect present for a parent, grandparent, or teacher this festive season.

Makes 26 


Jar contents

  • 150 g plain flour
  • 75 g rolled oats
  • 2 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 225 g Siúcra Light Golden Brown


  • 30 g dried blueberries/cranberries
  • 45 g white chocolate buttons
  • 45 g dark chocolate buttons
  • 30 g raisins
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon


  1. Layer all of the ingredients in the jar.
  2. First, combine the flour, baking powder and vanilla sugar and place them at the bottom of the jar.
  3. Cover them with a layer of sugar and rolled oats and finish with the spices.

Instructions for the recipient:

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C.
  2. Cream 225 g butter and 1 large egg until the mixture turns pale and fluffy.
  3. Add the contents of the jar and work together to make a dough.
  4. Shape the dough into balls and place them on a baking sheet, pressing lightly on the top.
  5. Bake the cookies in the centre of the oven for about 10−15 minutes or until lightly golden at the edges.
  6. Allow them to cool completely on a wire rack.

Top Tip! Use an empty jam jar to store ingredients in to avoid waste.
