Body & Soul announce 31 additional acts

Another taste of what’s yet to come for the 13th edition of Body & Soul.

In addition to the already announced Moderat, we are excited to welcome the electric energy of The Blessed Madonna, the first woman to be named Mixmag’s DJ of the year.

She’s joined by leaders of a new era of Irish music, Choice Music Prize winner Denise Chaila, co-founder of independent record label Soft Boy Records Kojaque, The Murder Capital performing their brand-new No. 1 album ‘Gigi’s Recovery’ and Kneecap, with their bombastic merge of Irish and English, satirical rap, laden with unapologetic societal commentary.

The eclectic live music lineup for 2023 showcases a carefully curated selection of dynamic performers who will set the Solstice skies alight all weekend long across Ballinlough Castle Estate.

From former lead guitarist of The War On Drugs, Kurt Vile & The Violators to one of the most legendary partnerships in music, Fabio & Grooverider and The Outlook Orchestra (A/V Show); from Beth Orton’s signature folktronica to global world music superstars Tinariwen; and from Welsh chanteuse and electronic producer Gwenno, to the exceptional eleven-piece techno marching band, MEUTE  – there is literally music to please the most audio curious festival goer!

The Pagan Rave at Body & Soul Festival 2022 at Ballinlough Castle, Co. Westmeath, 17th– 19th June

As the Solstice sun fades, the tempo surges across Body & Soul, and 2023 promises a rich tapestry of evocative dance floor experiences, navigating swathes of diverse festival-goers through to the early hours. With a host of world class international and local DJs, and hypnotic live performers, including a landmark All Female Friday line up led by Avalon Emerson (AD 93)HAAi and Shanti Celeste

Keeping the body moving and the heart pulsing all weekend long will be Gerd Janson, Coco Maria, alongside previously announced Gilles Peterson.

Festival goers will once again celebrate the coming of the Summer Solstice with The Pagan Rave – a show stopping, ceremonial salute to the festival’s Solstice roots, featuring over 20 performers in breathtaking handmade costumes and masks.

As always, Community takes centre stage this year with a three day celebration of the diverse creative landscape of Ireland.

A theme that will be woven into the very fabric of the festival to celebrate the boundary breaking makers, creators, artists, performers and free-thinking festival-goers that have journeyed with Body & Soul year-on-year.

And so the clarion call goes out to Ireland’s cultural connoisseurs, music lovers, makers and dreamers, the foodies, the wellness warriors and those in search of adventure and community: gather at Body & Soul this June, for a remarkable Summer Solstice extravaganza.
