Fresh Cuts combines style & sustainability in its Summer 2023 Collection

Fresh Cuts, a Dublin-based independent family business, is pleased to present its Summer 2023 limited-edition collection, introducing an all-new chino line and limited-edition prints and colours just in time for the summer season.

The collection not only boasts 100% GOTs certified Organic Cotton, but also incorporates sustainable fashion practices by using dead stock fabric in its design.

For the Summer 2023, Fresh Cuts presents an ultra-wearable and timeless collection that is as sustainably conscious as it is style savvy.

Creative Director and brand co-founder Lorna Murphy, draws inspiration from the mountains, capturing the exhilaration of hiking, the breathtaking views from the summit, the flora and fauna encountered along the way, and the proximity to the sky.

The collection introduces an all-new chino product range, designed using a carefully crafted cotton twill fabric which took over a year to develop and perfect. Brought to life in refined, classic, and functional designs, the box cut silhouettes, boxy pockets, adjustable dungaree straps and stretchy waistbands allow for optimum comfort for the wearer.

Presented in shades of signature Fresh Cuts navy and classic chino, the shirts, worker jackets, and adjustable dungarees are a highlight of the collection with a universal appeal.

The 100% GOTs certified Organic Cotton sweatshirts and tees incorporate eye-catching graphics inspired by the subtle movement of flowers and greenery amidst the mountains, and sunset motifs accented throughout.

This season’s knitwear showcases bold patterns subdued with earthy tones, evoking the texture of gritty hiking trails, and constructed from dead stock fabric.

Dead stock fabric refers to the surplus fabric left over from previous seasons that typically goes unused and can accumulate in factories. By incorporating this material into the collection, the aim is to reduce textile waste and contribute to a more circular fashion industry.

Owner and co-founder Steven said,

“As a brand, we’re committed to reducing our environmental impact and promoting sustainable practices throughout our supply chain. With our SS23 collection, which was inspired by our passion for hiking and the Irish mountain landscape, we’ve taken great care to use eco-friendly materials and production methods wherever possible, without compromising on style or quality. We’re proud to say that this collection represents a significant step forward in our ongoing sustainability journey and is our best yet.”

Born and bred in the heart of Dublin City Centre, Fresh Cuts began selling its original designs and garments in Cow’s Lane Designer Market almost seven years ago.

The idea was to give people an option to choose better but not compromise on style or quality. An Independent family business, it is run by husband-and-wife team, Lorna and Steven Murphy, which operates from their store on Castle Market Street in Dublin.

Designed in house and printed in Dublin, Fresh Cuts is a collection of mens, womens and kids organic cotton apparel. Customers can also discover an exquisite edit of sustainable and ethical labels from across Europe, carefully sourced by the Fresh Cuts team, which are now available to shop in-store and online.

As with all Fresh Cuts drops, the new knitwear line is collection-based so designs are limited and once they are sold out, they are gone for good.
