Renowned Dun Laoghaire bar and gastropub, The Purty Kitchen, is thrilled to reveal the newest addition to its menu line-up, ‘Rum Wednesdays’.

Commencing this week, this exciting summer offering runs throughout June bringing together the vibrant spirit of rum and a carefully crafted set menu inspired by flavours of the Caribbean.

Each Wednesday in June, The Purty Kitchen’s ‘Rum Wednesday’ three-course set menu including two cocktails can be savoured for just €50pp, providing a fresh mid-week dining experience for Dublin’s rum enthusiasts and food lovers.

This exceptional culinary experience is curated by the expert team to take guests on a journey of tropical flavours from rum-inspired cuisine to bespoke cocktails, topped off with a delectable dessert.

The ‘Rum Wednesday’ set menu includes:

  • Classic Daiquiri

Havana Club 3-Year-Old Rum, Lime Juice, Cane

  • Scallops

George’s Fish Shop Scallops Ceviche

  • Spiced Rum Mojito

Kracken Spiced Rum, Mint, Lime, Lemon Marmalade Grand Marnier, Soda Water

  • Halibut

Coconut, Chilli, Ginger & Saffron Cream. Sweet Potato, Courgette, Micro Basil

  • Pana Cotta

Vanilla Pana Cotta, Rum Glazed Cherries Pistachio Crumb


The Purty Kitchen’s Co-Owner, Mark Heather, comments:

 “We’re extremely excited to launch our Rum Pairing set menu which is going to spice up mid-week dining in Dun Laoghaire. Our talented team of chefs and mixologists have curated a vibrant burst of summer flavours that we can’t wait for diners to try for themselves. This is a limited offering for Wednesdays in June, so don’t miss out and make a reservation, although walk-ins are always welcome too!” 

Local suppliers to The Purty Kitchen include George’s Fish Shop in Monkstown for seafood and Caterway for fresh cherries. The food menu for Rum Wednesdays has been devised by Graham Higgins, Head Chef at The Purty Kitchen, however the A La Carte menu will remain available to Wednesday diners should they wish to choose it.
