Dublin 9’s Racket Space is our bawdy bunker and sumptuous speakeasy, with outrageously delicious cocktails and deliciously outrageous performances to match.
Club Salty is an intoxicating blend of performance flavours, mined from the best queer, alternative and club microbiome around. With a pinch of irreverence, a dash of daring, and a good sprinkle of soul, our doomsday cabaret experience will satisfy any creative craving.

Co-created and co-directed by THISISPOPBABY’s Jennifer Jennings and Phillip McMahon, Club Salty will be whipped up by a stellar team of designers, veteran clubmakers and dancefloor dreamers – and brought to life via a top-secret gaggle of alternative performance giants.
Seasoned underground enthusiasts will remember THISISPOPBABY’s legendary WERK: performance art clubwhich transformed the bowels of the National Theatre, the late-night POPTENT at Electric Picnic, The Irish Museum of Modern Art, Melbourne International Arts Festival and beyond.
THISISPOPBABY Art Director Niall Sweeney (one of the key creatives behind iconic queer nights Alternative Miss Ireland, PowderBubble and HAM) leads a design team including the multi award-winning Sarah Jane Shiels and Ellen Kirk on lights and costume respectively. Music director Tom Beech will lead an assemblage of ridiculously glorious outsiders, brought together to form a house band and choir of quirks for three nights only.
Five electric performances of Club Salty, will be topped off by an after party at the Racket Space on the final night: Cracked Lips: Salty After Party. Late night and loud, Cracked Lips is our Saturday night post-Salty lock-in and freshly rimmed disco. Featuring tasty beats, queer delights and surprise special guests all under our dancefloor totem, the mirrorball. Let’s get salty as we sweat away the world outside. Grab your pals, cos we’re going out out.
Tickets for our Saturday night Cracked Lips After Party are €15, or can be purchased as an add-on to any Club Salty tickets for €10.
Delectably daring, this incredible combination of cabaret gig and underground club will be a sumptuous night out, hosted by Baileys, the most delicious Grown-Up Treat. Delicious libations shaken with audacious performance, makes for a thrilling Salty cocktail.
