Matteo Cullen will play live at Arthur’s Jazz and Blues club on Thomas Street on the 3rd of May coming. This virtuoso multi-instrumentalist jazz and blues artist expertly performs a range of original songs and standards on piano and guitar, also including folk, country and Irish traditional music.
He has recorded and released four albums, and is currently working on a new collection of songs. He also holds a doctoral degree in Irish popular music history. As a session keyboardist and piano player, Matteo has toured internationally with the multi-platinum artist Shane Filan (Westlife), in addition to performing with scores of Irish and international artists, including Rí Ra (Scary Eire), Paddy Casey, Donal O’Connor, The Barley Mob, Skazz and Paweł Zadło.
He has appeared on festival stages at Electric Picnic, Body and Soul, Wild Roots, Forest Fest, Cork Jazz, Galway Arts, Kilkenny Arts and many others, in addition to RTE, TG4, Raidio na Gaeltachta and BBC Radio. He has also undertaken invited performances in Japan, Poland, Jamaica and Oman.
