Macalla is back—and louder than ever.
Rooted in the raw energy of bass sound system culture and infused with the spirit of Irish heritage and language, Macalla is an immersive festival experience like no other.
After the roaring success of Macalla ’24, they’re turning up the heat with a series of wild summer day parties, blending music, art, and wellness into a full sensory celebration.
Next up: Grianstad an tSamhraidh—Macalla’s Summer Solstice special—happening June 21st at a top-secret location in Kildare. It’s a bus-only event, so get ready for a proper pilgrimage to the rave.
Expect two unique stages (details in earlier posts), with vibes flowing ar chúl an tí (“out the back of the house”) and in the Dúchas zone (“heritage” in Irish), spotlighting fresh, fearless Irish-language artists.
🔥 Courtyard Stage: Reggae, breakbeats, jungle, and DnB with a genre-bending twist. Don’t miss @reclaimthemainframe dropping a full vinyl set, with a fire lineup including Kelsey, Governess, and Conkan (fresh off tour with Verb-T via OutStraight Records)🔥
Dúchas Stage: Rising stars of the Irish scene like Róisín El Sherif, PandaHall, and more with raw talent and lyrical power.
