Teenage Fanclub is coming to Dublin

Following the release of their latest album Endless Arcade, Scottish alt-rock five-piece Teenage Fanclub have announced details of UK/EU tour for October and November, which includes a show in the 3Olympia Theatre for Thursday 2nd November 2023.

Tickets €38 including booking fees on sale Monday 27th February at 10AM

Commenting on the tour, Raymond McGinley from the band says:

“Following our most recent album Endless Arcade we did a UK / Europe tour in support of that. While it felt great to be properly back on the road again post-pandemic, we realised that for many of the venues we’d been playing those same places over and over for more than thirty years.

We thought that next time we should try to do something a bit different. As part of that tour we played a couple of seated venues and enjoyed the experience. We got the feeling that the audience did too.”

“So, for the tour this year in October and November we decided to put together a run of dates in seated venues, for the dual purpose of both playing shows in a theatre environment and in venues that are mostly places we haven’t played before. For both band and audience this tour should be an enjoyably novel experience”

Teenage Fanclub’s most recent album release was 2021’s Endless Arcade, and they also put out a brand new song  ‘I Left A Light On’ last year in 2022.

Norman Blake:

“In years gone by, we took a long time between albums. These days we try to keep busy all the time, both touring and recording. We’re currently working on more new music which looks like it’s shaping up to be another new album. The gap between our Here album (released in 2016) and Endless Arcade was nearly five years. The gap between Endless Arcade and the next LP will be much shorter than that.”
