Everything you need to know ahead of Otherside Festival 2023

TWO WEEKS TO GO until Otherside Music Festival returns to the magical site of Rock Farm in Slane Co. Meath from July 7th – 9th. 

A sea of talent, including both international and local artists spread across 3 magical days of music, arts and entertainment. The day-by-day breakdown of acts been announced with SBTRKT headlining the Friday night, the iconic CMAT takes to the stage Saturday and closing out the weekend with the amazing Bombay Bicycle Club on Sunday night. 

Over 40 new acts have now been added to complete the festival lineup, with notable acts including – George Fitzgerald, Lil Silva, Pretty Girl, Skream, Spray, Yunè Pinku (Live), Nixer and more. Across the weekend you don’t want to miss Maverick Sabre, Australia’s Confidence Man, Danish techno maestro Kölsch, queen of the electronic Maya Jane Coles, with homegrown talent from Somebody’s Child and 49th & Main.

BENEATH THE TREES

By day, a magical sun filled oasis of minimal, house and eclectic new sounds from top Irish and European talent. By night, an enchanted temple dedicated to the deeper, driving sounds of techno. 

SEOMRA CEOIL

Otherside has its very own special music room nestled away amongst the hills of Slane. Pop in and explore an eclectic mix of genres, arts & entertainment throughout the weekend. From the traditional artists curated by The Cobblestone Pub to exciting artists sourced by the Chamomile Club to an amazing array of homegrown & international talent hand picked by the crew at Juno Dublin. Don’t miss out on three days of ceoil and late night trad sessions. 

TONY CANTWELL’S HIT PODCAST SHOW

The rumours are true and have been verified, Tony Cantwell will be recording an episode of his podcast “Tony Cantwell’s Hit Podcast Show” this year at Otherside Festival. Tony performed last year at Otherside and we cannot wait to see what he has in store for us this time round. 

RIMSKI’S YARD

We are proud to present a brand new festival area this year which is Rimski’s yard. Rimski’s yard is a weird and wonderful traveling performance group. They are theatrical, fun for all the family and provide an entertainment area that is very experience focused. The performances include The Umbrella Repair Machine, Rimski’s Bicycle Piano, The Double Bassicle and The Musical Clown Duo. Otherside will have a host of family activities across the weekend and currently still have some children’s tickets available via Ticketmaster

Food

Nourishment is key at Otherside to keep the vibe going across the weekend. We are so proud to work with our amazing food vendors including; The Big Blue Bus Pizzeria, Bolt Burger, Happy’s Dublin, Juno, Little Dumpling Restaurant, Society Coffee, Dos Bros Mexican Grill and Bahay all bringing a diverse selection of hearty & healthy options to our tribe across the weekend. 

OTHERSIDE X HAPPY’S DUBLIN PRESENT: “THE ROAST”

In the rolling hills of Slane we gather at the long banquet tables and prepare for a feast worthy of kings, queens & pagans alike. Happy’s Bar & Streetfood Dublin will take over the banquet hall to produce something a Traditional Irish Roast.

DUBLIN SHUTTLE BUS

Tickets for our Dublin bus service from Connolly station are now live via ExpressBus.ie

Be sure to plan your journey, these bus times are on a first come first served basis. There will also be a return bus each night at midnight and 3am. If you plan on driving to the event you must purchase a car park pass on Ticketmaster. All traffic will be routed to our official car park and from here you will avail of the free shuttle bus to site. 

RISE Nordic Spa returns once again to curate the wellness area at Otherside. In the idyllic setting you’ll find a selection of wood fired hot-tubs & Nordic style saunas beside the natural lake for swimming. Start the day with some morning yoga to re energise for the dancing ahead. Places are limited so get in quick before spaces sell out. Aside from the general campsite, boutique upgrades are on offer from beautifully kitted-out Yurts to pre-pitched tents

The gorgeous site on Rock Farm sits in the shadow of the famous Slane Castle, a mere 40-minute drive from Dublin on the banks of the River Boyne and nestled beneath a canopy of native forests.
